The Mamba, The Legend

Rafters in HeavenGrowing up in high school in the late 90’s early 2000’s it was hard to tell me otherwise that Kobe Bryant wasn’t the best player in the NBA. The Bean defied the odds, went into the league fresh out of high school and within no time had every young baller wanting a fro with a temple fade and Krazy 8’s! For many his persona was a love it or hate it opinion. But one thing that was undeniable was his ability to tap into that next level that we only dream of. That ability to persevere, overcome and succeed. He was the Black Mamba.

On January 26, 2020, Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna, a rising star of a player like her father, sadly departed while on their way with other team players to Mamba Academy. Words couldn’t not express at the time how deeply affected I was by this news as not only a long time fan but a father like Kobe of all daughters. UNBELIEVABLE!

Throughout the years I’ve done many Kobe Bryant art pieces but never would’ve thought I would be doing a tribute piece of him, let alone his daughter this early in life! Here is my tribute piece dedicated to the Legend, Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant.
